About Potassium Methoxide

Potassium methoxide (CH3OK), also called potassium methylate, is a strong base used as a catalyst in biodiesel production and specialty synthesis, where potassium catalysis is preferred over sodium.

We manufacture it at our plant at Kazipally IDA near Hyderabad, as a powder and as a solution in methanol. It is moisture-sensitive and flammable — please review the SDS before handling.
