About Sodium Methoxide

Sodium methoxide (CH₃ONa), also called sodium methylate, is a strong base used as a catalyst in biodiesel production and in pharmaceutical and agrochemical synthesis.

We manufacture it at our plant at Kazipally IDA near Hyderabad, as a free-flowing powder and as a solution in methanol. It is moisture-sensitive and flammable — please review the SDS before handling.

Sodium methoxide powder is packed in new MS drums of 120 kg net weight, each containing 12 × 10 kg packets. Sodium methoxide solution is supplied in new 210 L HDPE drums of 200 kg net weight, and in bulk tankers.
