Overview

About Sodium Methoxide

Sodium methoxide (CH3ONa), also called sodium methylate, is a strong base used as a catalyst in biodiesel production and in pharmaceutical and agrochemical synthesis.

We manufacture it at our plant at Kazipally IDA near Hyderabad, as a free-flowing powder and as a solution in methanol. It is moisture-sensitive and flammable — please review the SDS before handling.
